Started playing in bands in 1970 after singing with my sisters in local talent contests. First instrument was the ukelele then my parents bought me a guitar when I was 10 yrs.old. Taught myself to play the keyboards back in 1972. I would like to thank my mother for getting me interested in music and showing me and my sisters how to harmonize together and my father for hauling us around because we were all too young to drive. Married to my wife Lori Auzenne Higginbotham since 1994; one great son James IV born 1996; started playing music in 5th Grade, taught by my father, James II, from 6th Grade-8th Grade; graduated from Comeaux High School 1975; graduated from USL (at the time) in 1982 having earned my BME (Bachelor's in Music Education); taught band at Broussard and Youngsville Middle Schools from 1984-1993; was "unofficially" on staff with the Comeaux High School "Spectacular Band from Spartan Land" for the same time period.
